What you get
Hotel Indigo Atlanta Airport College Park by IHG is a three star property, and the list of what it has is long and practical. Rooms come with air conditioning, a desk, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a TV with pay per view, a safe, an iron and board, a hairdryer and toiletries. Some rooms add a balcony or a sofa bed. The hotel lists free wifi, a fitness center, a business center, a restaurant, bars and a lounge, plus breakfast, parking, a market, laundry and dry cleaning, luggage storage, a 24 hour front desk, express check in, lifts, family rooms, wheelchair access and a shuttle service. Pets are allowed. What the list does not give you is any detail of the neighbourhood beyond the centre of College Park, so if you want shops, restaurants and a reason to walk around, you are working from a thin picture.
For one night before a flight, Hotel Indigo Atlanta Airport College Park by IHG covers the mechanics well: the shuttle, the early check in, the wake up service, the food on site, the parking. For a longer stay, the balance is less convincing. The hotel has no pool, no spa and no garden, and the area beyond the centre of College Park is mostly what you make of it. Book it if your trip is a flight to catch or a single night on the road. Look elsewhere if you want Atlanta itself: the Airport, Red/Gold line and the fact it sits off the loop are the honest limits of what this address does for you.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in College Park, on the airport side of town, and the rail connection is the reason to be here. Airport, Red/Gold is the line you want: it puts you on the same system that runs through the centre, so you can reach Five Points without a car, and the site's own verdict on the area is blunt enough to quote: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday.
The BeltLine side is different. College Park is off the loop, which means the trail is not on your doorstep and this is not a neighbourhood you pick for walking the city. What is walkable here is ordinary: you stay close to the station, you eat nearby, you sleep. Book it if you have a plane to catch or you want the lowest bed cost in the metro. Do not book it if you came to Atlanta for the BeltLine.
Booking it
Book this one when the shuttle and the 24 hour desk are the whole point of the trip. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
