Printer's Mark

Printer's Mark is a four star property on Sinclair Avenue Northeast, a short step from the middle of Little Five Points. It suits people who want a kitchen, a pool and somewhere to park a car. It does not suit anyone looking for a hotel with a front desk and a bar downstairs.

What you get

Printer's Mark lists a full kitchen with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and toaster, so you can cook rather than eat out every meal. There is a washing machine, an iron and board, a hairdryer and towels, which makes a longer stay practical. Air conditioning, free wifi and a TV cover the basics inside. Outside there is a garden and a patio, plus a swimming pool. Free car parking is on the list, and pets are allowed. Non smoking rooms, a bathroom, cleaning, coffee, first aid and a smoke detector round it out. The list is thin on anything resembling service: no restaurant, no bar, no gym, no workspace beyond a table.

Printer's Mark reads as a self contained place rather than a serviced hotel, which is the whole decision. If you want to unpack, cook, do laundry and leave the car parked while you use the pool or the garden, the four star listing and the facilities support that. If you want a lobby, staff on call and somewhere to eat without leaving the building, Printer's Mark is the wrong choice and you should look at a full service hotel instead. It fits people staying several days in Little Five Points, not a one stopover.

Where it puts you

You are in Little Five Points, on the east side of town. This is record shops, the Variety Playhouse and the loudest street corner in the city, and it stays loud into the small hours. If you want quiet mornings and an early night, look elsewhere on the site.

The rail connection at Inman Park, 12 min, puts the rest of the city within reach, and 0.5 mi to trail opens the BeltLine at mile 20.6 for walking or riding. Both are useful if you plan to spend your days out rather than in the room. The neighbourhood is best on foot, and the street itself is the attraction. It suits people who want the bars and the venues on the doorstep and do not mind the noise that comes with them.
