What you get
Motel 6 Atlanta GA Atlanta Airport is a 2 star property on Virginia Avenue in College Park, and the list is practical rather than plush. Free wifi, air conditioning, a TV and a telephone in the room. A 24 hour front desk, housekeeping, laundry service, lifts, parking, a safe and wheelchair access. Pets are allowed and there are non smoking rooms. The thin parts are the eating and drinking side: a restaurant, a bar or snack area, and that is it. No pool is listed, no gym is listed, no kitchen is listed. Bath and shower and WC are listed separately, which tells you the room is basic. The guest score is 3.5 out of 5 from 3586 reviews, so a mixed but large body of opinion.
For someone staying at Motel 6 Atlanta GA Atlanta Airport, that adds up to a bed, a shower and a parking space, with a shuttle for the airport and a front desk that never closes. The 3.5 out of 5 from 3586 reviews points to a place that does the job without pretending to be more. It suits a single night before a flight, a driver breaking a journey, or anyone travelling with a pet who needs a cheap, plain room. It does not suit a holiday, a family week, or anyone who wants a kitchen, a pool or a quiet garden. Book it for the function, not the feel.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in College Park, on the airport side of town, and the rail connection is the reason to be here. Airport, Red/Gold is the line you want: it puts you on the same system that runs through the centre, so you can reach Five Points without a car, and the site's own verdict on the area is blunt enough to quote: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday.
The BeltLine side is different. College Park is off the loop, which means the trail is not on your doorstep and this is not a neighbourhood you pick for walking the city. What is walkable here is ordinary: you stay close to the station, you eat nearby, you sleep. Book it if you have a plane to catch or you want the lowest bed cost in the metro. Do not book it if you came to Atlanta for the BeltLine.
Booking it
Book this one if the airport is the point and you want the simplest possible stop. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
