What you get
The Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina lists the full business and leisure set you expect from a four star hotel: free wifi and internet access, a business center, a fitness center and gymnasium, an outdoor pool and a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and lounge, breakfast, and a market on site. Rooms come with air conditioning, balcony, bath, shower, hairdryer, iron and board, desk, safe, refrigerator, coffee, TV and telephone. There is a 24 hour front desk, concierge, luggage storage, laundry and dry cleaning, express check in, lifts, parking and valet parking, plus family rooms, cots, pets allowed, and a garden, terrace, patio and banquet space. The list is long but generic: nothing here is distinctive, and the thin spots are the ones that matter to a city visitor. There is no kitchen and no apartment style setup.
What that adds up to at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina is a self contained property where you can land, work, eat and swim without leaving the grounds, in a part of Greater Atlanta built around cars and offices rather than streets you would stroll. It is 14.0 km from Piedmont Park, which is the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, so this is not a base for walking to Midtown or Downtown, and a shuttle service is listed for local runs. It suits a business traveller with a car, a family who wants a pool and parking, or anyone whose trip is anchored to the Perimeter. It does not suit a visitor whose plan is to see Atlanta on foot, and it does not suit anyone who wants a small independent hotel with local character.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park. They sit outside all 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, and Piedmont Park is only the nearest of them. That distinction matters: when you book here, you are in the wider metro, not on the park's edge. The loop's famous stretch, at Beltline mile 18.3, is something you travel to rather than step out into. Expect to move for the grass, the skyline, the crowds.
Midtown is 12 min on the rail label and the trail is at the door, but treat those as the site's own shorthand, not a substitute for the park itself. What the site says of the neighbourhood: The most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. On the northeast side of town, in Greater Atlanta, these hotels suit a metro base and do not suit a Piedmont Park holiday.
