What you get
The Wyndham Garden Atlanta Airport lists the things an airport stay needs: 24 hour front desk, free wifi, parking, shuttle service, lifts, non smoking rooms and wheelchair accessible rooms. Beds come with air conditioning, a desk, a TV, a telephone, a refrigerator and a safe, plus towels, toiletries, a hairdryer, an iron and board. Food and drink run to a restaurant, a bar, a buffet and a market. There is a fitness center, an outdoor pool and a business center. The list is practical rather than generous. There is no spa, no kitchen in the rooms and no suites named, so do not expect more than the category promises.
For the Wyndham Garden Atlanta Airport, that adds up to a place that does the job it is built for. You land, you sleep, you leave. The desk never closes, the shuttle runs, the pool is there if you have a spare hour, and the laundry service and business center cover a working stopover. It is a poor base for seeing Atlanta: you are in College Park, not in town, and you would be crossing the city for every meal and museum. Suits one night before or after a flight, or a short working stay near the airport. Does not suit a holiday built around downtown, nightlife or walking to attractions. Airport, Red/Gold is the rail label, and the trail is Off the loop.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit outside the twenty four neighbourhoods this site covers, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of them. Treat the label as a direction rather than an address: you are in the greater Atlanta area, and the places the loop is known for are somewhere you travel to rather than walk out into.
What you get for that is the airport line, the Red and Gold, and a bed that is off the loop rather than on it. The site's own summary puts it plainly: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. If your trip is built around the Beltline and the neighbourhoods, book nearer the middle and pay for it.

Booking it
Book the Wyndham Garden Atlanta Airport direct for an airport stopover, and check the cancellation window before you commit. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
