The Treasure House lists a full house rather than a room. There is a kitchen, a kitchenette, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a toaster, plus coffee. Bed space spreads across family rooms with a sofa bed and a cot. You get a bathroom and a separate WC, with towels and toiletries. Elsewhere in the building: a bar and lounge, a games room with table tennis and bowling, a garden, a terrace, a patio and a picnic area. Free wifi, free car parking, air conditioning, non smoking rooms, a safe, laundry service, a hairdryer, an iron and board, and a TV with DVD, CD player and video. Bikes can be rented. The list is thin on one thing: it says nothing about how far the shops are or what the rooms look out on.
For a group, The Treasure House covers the working parts of a stay. You can cook instead of eating out, park without paying extra, and keep children busy indoors on a wet afternoon. The setting is residential Smyrna in Greater Atlanta, and the approach is by bus and bike, with the trail half a mile away. This is the right base if you are driving, staying several nights and treating the house as the destination. It is the wrong base if you want to step out of the door into restaurants and bars, or if you plan to move around the city without a car. The Treasure House suits a family or a group of friends with a vehicle and no fixed schedule.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in West Midtown, and they are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. They sit well outside that area, in the wider metro, with West Midtown merely the nearest of the neighbourhoods on this site. If you book here, treat the city loop as a trip rather than a walk from your door.
West Midtown is warehouses turned into design shops and the densest good eating in the city. No train, and you feel it at rush hour. Take that as a sign of what the wider metro is like. There is no rail, bus plus bike instead, and you are 0.5 mi to trail. Expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for; do not expect them outside your window.
