West End, Red and Gold, puts the rest of the city within reach without a car, and the trail is at the door, so you can step out and walk or ride from where you sleep. The site calls this the cheapest base with its own rail station and trail access.
What sits right here is the historic AUC campuses, next door to the hotels. Groceries need a short trip, so plan for that rather than assuming a full kitchen run on foot. This suits you if you want a cheap bed with rail and trail on the doorstep and do not mind travelling for food. It suits you less if you want shops, bars and restaurants within a few steps of the front desk.
