What you get
Royal Hedge lists the workings of an apartment more than the trappings of a hotel. You get air conditioning, a private bathroom with towels and a hairdryer, and a kitchen that runs to an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and a toaster. There is a washing machine, an iron and board, free wifi and internet access, a TV and a CD player, plus free car parking and a patio. Non smoking rooms are available, pets are allowed, and a games room and smoke detector round out the list. It is four star, and where the list runs thin is service: no restaurant, no bar, no gym, no airport shuttle, nothing in the way of staffed extras.
What that adds up to at Royal Hedge is a base for someone staying a while rather than a place to be looked after. The kitchen and laundry mean you can settle in, feed yourself and travel light, and the parking and pet policy remove two of the usual frictions of a city stay. You are in Summerhill, 0.1 km from the centre of Summerhill, close to the Georgia State, Blue rail line and 0.9 mi to trail, so the location works for getting around without a car as well. Royal Hedge suits longer stays, pet owners and anyone who wants an apartment with a parking space. It does not suit you if you want daily housekeeping, a restaurant downstairs or a concierge.

Where it puts you
Summerhill sits on the south side of the city, rebuilt around the old stadium site. New rooms, real bakeries, and a twenty-minute walk into downtown, which is the honest shape of the place: a neighbourhood that was torn down and put back up, and still looks like it. The Georgia State, Blue stop is your rail connection, and the BeltLine is close enough that the trail label reads 0.9 mi to trail from here.
That combination suits you if you want to move around without a car, whether that means the train or the path, and if you would rather sleep somewhere with a bakery than a lobby bar. It suits you less if you want a holiday built on old buildings and long strolls past them, because most of what surrounds you is recent. Come for the access, not for the atmosphere.
Booking it
Booking Royal Hedge is straightforward if you know what you are getting: a self-contained four star apartment with free parking, not a serviced hotel, so check that the kitchen and laundry setup matches your plans before you commit. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
