What you get
Penthouse Lux lists a full self catering set: kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, plus washing machine, iron and board, hairdryer and towels. Air conditioning, free wifi, TV, desk and coffee cover the working and unwinding side, and there is a patio. Parking is free. Pets are allowed. The thin part is service: cleaning is the only housekeeping item, and there is no gym, pool or restaurant on the list. Breakfast is not mentioned.
For the right visitor, Penthouse Lux works as a base rather than a hotel stay. You shop and cook, you wash clothes, you park without a charge, and you bring the dog. Midtown is 12 minutes by rail, and the trail at the door turns a Piedmont Park address into a morning outdoors rather than a drive. It suits longer stays, drivers, pet owners and anyone who would rather make their own meals. It does not suit someone who wants a lobby, daily linen and a bar downstairs. Four stars here means the fittings and fit out; the apartment makes you the staff, and that is the whole trade.

Piedmont Park is on the northeast side of town, and the BeltLine mileage here is 18.3. The site's own line on it: The most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. That is the trade at the centre of every stay in this neighbourhood.
For getting around, Midtown, 12 min is the connection, and the trail is at the door, so the loop carries you without a car. Expect the park and the trail to set the rhythm of the day, and expect to pay for the address. Book here if the green space and the skyline are the point of the trip. Look elsewhere if you want a quiet, cheap base.
Booking it
Book Penthouse Lux directly if the kitchen, laundry and free parking are the reasons you are choosing it, since those are the things you cannot get from a standard Midtown room. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
