What you get
The Inn at the Peachtrees an Ascend Collection Hotel lists the things a Downtown stay needs to function. Every room has air conditioning, a bath or shower, a WC, a hairdryer, toiletries, a TV, a telephone, a radio, an alarm clock, an iron and board, a desk and a refrigerator. Wifi and internet access are free, there is a 24 hour front desk, lifts, luggage storage, a safe, laundry service and housekeeping. The building adds a business centre, a fitness centre, a lounge, a garden, a banquet room, a garage, parking, an ATM and a smoking area. Wheelchair access is listed. The list is thin on anything beyond the practical: no restaurant, no pool, no bar, no kitchen in the room.
For someone staying at the Inn at the Peachtrees an Ascend Collection Hotel, that adds up to a bed, a desk and a bathroom in a central position, with the gym, the lounge and the garden as the only spaces that are not the room. The guest score sits at 3.2 out of 5 from 1703 reviews, so you should book expecting the basics to be met rather than exceeded. The two star rating is honest about the finish. This suits a solo traveller or a couple who want to be in Downtown, close to the rail at Five Points, all lines, and within reach of the 0.8 mi to trail, with a car or without. It does not suit a holiday that needs a pool, a restaurant downstairs or a room you linger in. Book it as a base, not a destination.

Where it puts you
You are staying Downtown, inside the loop, where the train at Five Points puts every line in the city within reach. That is the point of the location: you can move around Atlanta without a car, and the rest of the trip is built on that. The site's own line on the neighbourhood is blunt about the trade: the cheapest walk to a train in the city, with convention traffic setting the price, so a Tuesday in January is a different hotel than a Tuesday in October.
The BeltLine trail is also here, and the 0.8 mi to trail is the figure to keep in mind if you plan to walk or run it. This suits anyone whose trip runs on transit and convention schedules. It does not suit a holiday built around quiet streets and long, slow mornings.
Booking it
Book the Inn at the Peachtrees an Ascend Collection Hotel if you want a central Downtown address and you are not paying for polish. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
