What you get
Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Center lists a full set of extended stay facilities. The suites have kitchens with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee, so you can cook rather than eat out every meal. The hotel has an indoor pool, a fitness center, a business center, laundry and dry cleaning, a market, free wifi, parking and a shuttle service. Other facilities include a bar or snack cafe, lounge, BBQ or picnic area, family rooms, a 24 hour front desk, express check in, lifts, luggage storage, cots, sofa beds, wheelchair accessible rooms and non smoking rooms. The list is thin on nothing much, though the rooms are suites rather than a hotel with a grand lobby.
For someone staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Center, the kitchen, laundry and shuttle together cut the friction of a longer stay. Greater Atlanta is a driving area, and the hotel sits with parking on site. The indoor pool and fitness center work for a rainy day or an hour before dinner. This property suits business travellers on an extended project, families who want space and a kitchen, and anyone who needs to be in the Perimeter Center area rather than downtown. It does not suit someone who wants to walk out the door into Atlanta's sights or nightlife, and it is not a resort. The guest score is 4 out of 5 from 981 reviews.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park, and they are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. Piedmont Park is simply the nearest of them, the closest edge of the map. What that means in practice is that you are staying in the wider metro, in Greater Atlanta, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for. The park, the skyline behind it, the busiest stretch of the BeltLine: none of it is on your doorstep.
This site calls Piedmont Park the most expensive mile on the loop, where you are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. That is the neighbourhood you are travelling toward, not the one you are sleeping in. Midtown sits at 12 min on the rail label, and the trail label puts the trail at the door, but read those as labels for Piedmont Park itself. Your bed is out past it.

Booking it
Book this one if you want a kitchen and space rather than a downtown location. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
