What you get
Element Atlanta Buckhead lists the practical core first: free wifi, air conditioning, non smoking rooms, a safe, a smoke detector, a 24 hour front desk, 24 hour security, express check in and lifts. Rooms come with a bath or shower, a WC and a TV, and many have a kitchen or kitchenette, which matters if you want to feed a family without going out. There is an indoor pool, a fitness center, a lounge, a bar or snack cafe, a market, a business center, banquet space, laundry service, housekeeping, family rooms, wheelchair access, parking and a terrace. The list goes thin on specifics: the pool is listed only as an indoor pool and a swimming pool, the market and the bar are named with no detail, and nearby recreation appears with no location named.
What that adds up to is a hotel built for the kind of stay where you are in and out. Element Atlanta Buckhead suits you if you want a kitchen, a pool, a desk and a train station within reach, and it is set up for pets, families and wheelchair users. It is less suited to a holiday where the point is the neighbourhood on foot: the address is on Piedmont Road in Greater Atlanta, and the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers is Piedmont Park at 6.7 km from Piedmont Park, which is the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, so you will be moving by car or by rail rather than strolling out. The 3 star rating and the facilities list describe a solid, self sufficient base, not a destination in itself.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park. They are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. They sit in the wider metro, and Piedmont Park is only the nearest of those neighbourhoods, which is a different thing from being in it. You are outside the loop, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
Piedmont Park itself is the most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. If that is what you came for, you will be going to it rather than sleeping beside it, and the rail and trail labels tell you how the trip out is made: Midtown, 12 min, and the trail at the door.
