What you get
Econo Lodge Atlanta Airport East lists the basics a short stay needs. Every room has air conditioning, a TV with pay per view, a radio, a desk, a hairdryer, an iron and board, a microwave and a refrigerator. The front desk runs 24 hours, parking is free, and pets are allowed. There is a business center with copy service and internet access. Non smoking rooms are available. The list is thin on extras: no pool, no restaurant, no gym, no shuttle. A tennis court is listed, which is the only recreational facility named anywhere on the property.
What that adds up to is a plain motel built around the airport corridoor, not around a holiday. Econo Lodge Atlanta Airport East puts a bed, a shower, a fridge and a microwave in a room you can walk into late and leave early, with your car parked outside at no charge and someone on the desk at any hour. The tennis court is a curiosity rather than a draw. Book it if you have an early departure, a late arrival, a pet, or a car and a reason to be in Forest Park. Do not book it if you want walkable dining, a pool, or a room that feels like a destination.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit outside the twenty four neighbourhoods this site covers, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of them. Treat the label as a direction rather than an address: you are in the greater Atlanta area, and the places the loop is known for are somewhere you travel to rather than walk out into.
What you get for that is the airport line, the Red and Gold, and a bed that is off the loop rather than on it. The site's own summary puts it plainly: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. If your trip is built around the Beltline and the neighbourhoods, book nearer the middle and pay for it.

Booking it
The case for booking Econo Lodge Atlanta Airport East is simple: you are paying for a bed near the airport, not for a resort, so book it only once your flight time is fixed. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
