What you get
Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Airport West is a three star property on Creek Pointe Drive in Atlanta, part of Greater Atlanta. The listed facilities are weighted toward the working stay: a twenty four hour front desk, a business centre, copy service, internet access, a desk in the room, air conditioning, a fitness centre and an outdoor pool. You also get free car parking, a restaurant, a bar, a lounge, a market, a picnic area and a terrace. Rooms come with a bath or shower, a hairdryer, toiletries, towels, an iron and board, a refrigerator, a coffee setup, a safe, a TV with pay per view, a telephone, an alarm clock and a radio. There is a sofa bed in some rooms and wheelchair accessible rooms are listed. The list is thinner on the holiday side: there is no spa, no shuttle detail and nothing about the surrounding streets.
For someone flying out of Atlanta, Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Airport West does the job. You can leave a car, eat on site, keep a laptop running and reach the front desk at any hour. The airport line, Airport, Red/Gold, is the one you want, and the property sits off the loop rather than on it, so plan the last leg yourself. What it does not do is put you in the city. It suits a short stay built around a flight, a business trip, or a stopover where a pool and a parking space settle the decision. It does not suit a holiday spent walking to restaurants and attractions.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit outside the twenty four neighbourhoods this site covers, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of them. Treat the label as a direction rather than an address: you are in the greater Atlanta area, and the places the loop is known for are somewhere you travel to rather than walk out into.
What you get for that is the airport line, the Red and Gold, and a bed that is off the loop rather than on it. The site's own summary puts it plainly: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. If your trip is built around the Beltline and the neighbourhoods, book nearer the middle and pay for it.

Booking it
Book this one if the flight is the point of the trip, because the free parking and the pool are the reasons to choose it over a plainer airport bed. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
