What you get
City Center Excitement lists the things you would otherwise buy on arrival. The kitchen covers a dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator and coffee, and the apartment adds a washing machine, an iron and board, a hairdryer and toiletries. You get air conditioning, a balcony, a bath and a bathroom, a TV and free wifi, with lifts and luggage storage in the building and smoke detectors and non smoking rooms throughout. The list is thin on services: no restaurant, no gym, no pool, no parking, no reception hours, so what you see is what you get.
City Center Excitement is a self contained apartment, not a staffed hotel, and that is the whole of the decision. You cook, you wash, you manage your own mornings. The location puts Five Points, all lines, within reach, and the trail sits 0.8 mi to trail. Come here if you want a base for several days in Downtown and prefer a kitchen to a minibar. Do not come here if you want daily housekeeping, a concierge or someone to carry your bags.

You are staying Downtown, inside the loop, where the train at Five Points puts every line in the city within reach. That is the point of the location: you can move around Atlanta without a car, and the rest of the trip is built on that. The site's own line on the neighbourhood is blunt about the trade: the cheapest walk to a train in the city, with convention traffic setting the price, so a Tuesday in January is a different hotel than a Tuesday in October.
The BeltLine trail is also here, and the 0.8 mi to trail is the figure to keep in mind if you plan to walk or run it. This suits anyone whose trip runs on transit and convention schedules. It does not suit a holiday built around quiet streets and long, slow mornings.
Booking it
Book City Center Excitement direct if you want the apartment held for your dates, since the booking route is the app rather than a front desk. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
