What you get
Carmelot lists a full set of rooms in a four star property: air conditioning, a bathroom, non smoking rooms, towels and a hairdryer. The kitchen is the serious part, with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee, plus a washing machine and iron and board. Outside there is a swimming pool, a garden and a patio. Free wifi and free car parking are listed. The list is thin on reception: there is no front desk, no breakfast and no bar.
What that adds up to is a self contained base in Little Five Points rather than a serviced hotel. You cook, you wash, you park, and you come and go on your own schedule. Pets are allowed, which rules out a lot of places nearby. Carmelot suits families, groups and longer stays, and anyone driving into Atlanta who wants a pool at the end of the day. It suits you less if you want daily housekeeping, a concierge or somewhere to eat downstairs.

Where it puts you
You are in Little Five Points, on the east side of town. This is record shops, the Variety Playhouse and the loudest street corner in the city, and it stays loud into the small hours. If you want quiet mornings and an early night, look elsewhere on the site.
The rail connection at Inman Park, 12 min, puts the rest of the city within reach, and 0.5 mi to trail opens the BeltLine at mile 20.6 for walking or riding. Both are useful if you plan to spend your days out rather than in the room. The neighbourhood is best on foot, and the street itself is the attraction. It suits people who want the bars and the venues on the doorstep and do not mind the noise that comes with them.
Booking it
Book Carmelot direct if you want the kitchen, the pool and the parking without a front desk in the middle. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io.
