What you get
Blue Penthouse in the City is listed as a three star apartment in Downtown with a full set of self-catering facilities: a kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, plus a washing machine, iron and board, coffee and free wifi. Bedrooms and living space come with air conditioning, a desk, a TV and a radio, and there is a bath, a shower, a hairdryer, toiletries and towels. A balcony, patio and terrace are listed, as are a 24 hour front desk, lifts and wheelchair access. There is no pool, gym, restaurant or breakfast on the list, and no on-site parking or airport shuttle is mentioned.
Blue Penthouse in the City adds up to a functional city apartment rather than a serviced hotel. The kitchen and washing machine make it work for a longer stay or a group that would rather eat in, and the 24 hour front desk and lifts help at odd hours. The lack of a restaurant, pool or parking narrows it: this is right for independent travellers who want space and a stove, and wrong for anyone who wants breakfast downstairs, a resort pool or somewhere to leave a car.

Where it puts you
You are staying Downtown, inside the loop, where the train at Five Points puts every line in the city within reach. That is the point of the location: you can move around Atlanta without a car, and the rest of the trip is built on that. The site's own line on the neighbourhood is blunt about the trade: the cheapest walk to a train in the city, with convention traffic setting the price, so a Tuesday in January is a different hotel than a Tuesday in October.
The BeltLine trail is also here, and the 0.8 mi to trail is the figure to keep in mind if you plan to walk or run it. This suits anyone whose trip runs on transit and convention schedules. It does not suit a holiday built around quiet streets and long, slow mornings.
Booking it
Book direct for Blue Penthouse in the City and confirm the apartment layout you need before you pay. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
