It is wrong for a holiday based on walking to bars and restaurants, because West Midtown is beyond walking reach and this stretch of Interstate North Parkway is built for cars. Bring a vehicle or plan on buses, taxis and bikes.

If you book here, treat the city loop as a trip rather than a walk from your door.
West Midtown is warehouses turned into design shops and the densest good eating in the city. No train, and you feel it at rush hour. Take that as a sign of what the wider metro is like. There is no rail, bus plus bike instead, and you are 0.5 mi to trail. Expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for; do not expect them outside your window.
