What you get
The American Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport Jonesboro I 75 lists the basics you would expect from a 3 star property near the airport: air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, towels and toiletries, a TV, a telephone, a desk and free wifi. There is a microwave and a refrigerator, which matters if you are feeding children or arriving late. Parking is free and the car park is on site. Pets are allowed, family rooms are available, and there are lifts, so upper floors are reachable without stairs. The front desk is staffed around the clock and room service is listed. Where the list is thin is anything beyond the room: no restaurant, no bar, no pool, no gym, no airport shuttle. The facilities are the room and the parking, and that is the whole of it.
For a traveller, the American Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport Jonesboro I 75 is a straightforward proposition: a clean bed, a hot shower, a fridge and a microwave, free wifi and free parking, with someone on the desk at any hour. It suits a driver breaking a journey on I 75, a flight crew or passenger with an early departure, or anyone visiting Jonesboro on business and wanting to park without a charge. It does not suit a holiday. There is no restaurant to walk down to, no lounge, no pool for the children, and the address is a commercial strip rather than a neighbourhood you would wander. If you want Atlanta itself, you will be driving or riding in from Jonesboro every time.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit well outside it, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. Treat it as the closest of the names on the map rather than the place you are booking into. You are out in Greater Atlanta, on the Airport side of town, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
What the site says of this end of things holds: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. The rail label reads Airport, Red/Gold, and the trail label reads Off the loop, which tells you what the location is and is not. If you want the neighbourhoods themselves, book elsewhere. If you want a bed near the airport at the bottom of the market, this is what that looks like.

Booking it
Book this one when you want the car left in a free space and the desk staffed whenever you roll in. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
