What you get
3005 Buckhead lists the practical, self-sufficient things first: air conditioning, free wifi, internet access, a kitchen, a safe and smoke detectors, with cleaning and laundry service to keep the place running. Non smoking rooms are listed. Outside the room you get a fitness center and gymnasium, an outdoor pool, a terrace, a lounge and a golf course, plus car parking and pets allowed. The list is broad rather than deep: it names categories like wifi and internet access twice, and says nothing about what the kitchen contains, how the pool is set up or what the golf course actually is. There is no restaurant, no bar, no airport shuttle and no detail on room types.
For a four star property, 3005 Buckhead reads as a base for someone who wants to cook, park and keep a routine rather than be looked after. The kitchen, the laundry service and the gym suit a longer stay or a working trip in Greater Atlanta. The trail at the door helps if you run or cycle. The rail label points at Midtown rather than the doorstep, so a car or a rideshare is the honest assumption for getting into the centre. It suits drivers, pet owners and anyone who wants space and appliances. It is wrong for a holiday built on restaurants, nightlife and short walks, and wrong if you expect a hotel to do everything for you.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park. They are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. They sit in the wider metro, and Piedmont Park is only the nearest of those neighbourhoods, which is a different thing from being in it. You are outside the loop, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
Piedmont Park itself is the most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. If that is what you came for, you will be going to it rather than sleeping beside it, and the rail and trail labels tell you how the trip out is made: Midtown, 12 min, and the trail at the door.

Booking it
Book 3005 Buckhead directly if you want a kitchen and parking in Greater Atlanta and do not mind leaning on a car for the rest of the city. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
